The Apple Kerberos Single Sign-on extension is the preferred method to change your Charter Network password on a Mac computer. The instructions below provide steps for a user to reset their Charter domain password based on scenario.

Please follow the instructions below when you are prompted to change a Charter network account while logged into a computer running a Mac OS. Typically users are prompted in the upper right corner of the screen when the password is due to change.

Scenario 1: Your network password has expired:

  1. Connect to the Charter Network in office.
  2. Click the key icon in the menu bar to launch the Kerberos SSO extension.
  3. Select "Change Password."
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions
     

Scenario 2: If your password was changed from the Password Help website or other interface, use the Kerberos SSO extension to sync your network password to your Mac.

  1. Connect to the Charter Network in office or via Global Protect VPN.
  2. Click the key icon in the menu bar to launch the Kerberos SSO extension.
  3. Click "Sign Out."
  4. Sign in with your Charter Network username and password.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to sync your password.


Note: Mobile devices with Outlook installed will prompt you to sign in to your Microsoft 365 account after changing your password. There is no option to immediately enter the new password, you must wait for the sign in prompt which should appear within 30 minutes in the Outlook Mobile app. Sending and receiving email will not be impacted during the wait period.
